The Pro Velo Tour

Hundreds participants are awaited for a cycling balad in Mons and around. Take your bike, alone or with family or friends and join us in this great adventure!
The participation is free and open to everyone : sporty or not, adults, teenagers, children, etc.

It will start on Sunday the 25th october 2009 at 9am at the Grands Prés shopping mall in Mons and the finish line is at the same place around 12am with welcoming by the organisator commitee.

2 circuits are ready for you: the main circuit consist of a 27-km-loop going through Mesvin, Spiennes, the Panisel Mount and the Grand Place of Mons. A shortcut is planned to reduce the track to 17 kms.

Two mecanics will be on the road permanently, a reinforced mecanical assistance is ready au kilometer 10 and a medical assistance will also be available.

A police escort will start the balad followed by 40 tandems to allow everyone to participate, including blind or eye-defficient persons. With the participation of Mr. Willy Mercier, blind man who climbed the Mont Blanc.
